R&D

We start with the material, not a finished product.

R&D

We start
with the material

ROSE LAB does not buy in someone else's material and blend it. We find and design the material ourselves. That is why, in 2016 — the year the company was founded — the research institute came first.

Fields

Fields of research

Four things have to happen before a material becomes a product. Skip any one of them and the material stays a material.

Materials research

We search for and design the polymer materials used in tissue restoration and aesthetic medicine. Every product the company makes begins at this stage, in the corporate research institute established in 2016.

Formulation

A good material is not yet a good product. What follows is the work of finding a form that holds it stably, handles easily and does not change in use — the distance between a substance in the laboratory and a product in the hand is closed here.

Safety verification

For anything used on the body, safety comes before efficacy. Verification runs with testing and clinical research institutions in Korea and abroad, and a material that fails here does not move on.

Regulatory design

A material that cannot clear approval never becomes a product. So regulatory requirements are not fitted at the end but built into the design from the start, with domestic licensing and overseas registration prepared to the same standard.

Programmes

National R&D programmes

National R&D programmes are not granted on application; they are awarded on review. ROSE LAB has been selected nine times since its founding year.

We keep our research as rights

Research results are not left as documents alone. In 2023 the company was selected for the KISTA IP-R&D strategy support programme and restructured its patent portfolio.
